The Onyx Crown

Butterfly Queen by w7.funformobile.com

*It is said that a woman’s hair is her crown. This poem was inspired by the beautiful  black hair that dons the head of  Malala Yousufzai and all  Middle Eastern Women.

The Onyx Crown

Wings of blue, pink, scarlet and white

a vestige of Inner Light.

Illuminating

Peace, Hope, Freedom, Strength

skillfully constructing

An Onyx Crown;

perfectly perched upon brass shoulders

Never to be taken down.

The overthrow of two rulers

commence ….

Now!

king Silence

you are not loud enough

to mute the Onyx Crown.

king Fear

your cowardice shook the nations

and stirred stagnation

awakening reformation

and strength became

sustenance

to fuel the fight

against your dominance

over the Crown.

Stronger now

the Onyx Crown

Never to be taken down.

Shaken and stirred

Never to be taken down!

Hope is shaking!

Strength is shaking!

Peace is stirring!

Freedom is shaking!

The Onyx Crown

perfectly perched upon brass shoulders

will never be taken down!
